Mainstream’s presence in Chile was established in 2009.   To date, it has won 1,286 megawatts in the Chilean government tenders represented by nine wind projects.  In 2017, two wind farms, Sarco and Aurora (300 megawatts) will become operational with the remainder coming onstream from January 2021.

Mainstream operates the 33 megawatt Cuel wind farm in the Biobio region.

Mainstream is committed to the Chilean market and to contribute significantly to their legislated renewable energy target of 20% by 2025.
