Onshore wind

Mainstream’s activities in onshore wind development span a number of established and emerging markets around the world. Onshore wind development is one of Mainstream’s core activities and we specialise in all aspects from development, construction and operation of large-scale wind farms. Our aim is to deliver high quality, low cost wind projects to our customers.

Mainstream offers an á-la-carte solution for our customers to partner with us at any stage of a project – from site identification through to long-term operation. We represent a solution for those who want to own renewable energy plant but don’t want to do it themselves. One example of this is our recent announcements that IKEA will purchase two wind farms from Mainstream when they become fully operational in the first half of 2014.  As part of that deal, Mainstream will operate the wind farms for IKEA.

Although Mainstream is a relatively young company, our breadth of experience in wind farm development is second to none. Mainstream has grown in a short time-frame to become leaders in onshore wind energy using our in-house experience that includes GIS mapping; energy analysis; planning and consents; project, environmental and construction management; corporate finance, procurement and contracts; and power sales.
